Some projects done

by Katya
(Russia)

A friend of mine is very fond of frogs, she has quite a good collection of these creatures, made of wood, ceramics, whatever. But a glass one was missing. Now it is added to the "family" :) Fan lamp base was used for it.

The clock is not yet completed - the frame is to be custom made and the hands changed to black ones. The idea was taken from the octagon oak frame available at the glass stores but I changed the size of the panel to appr 13.5 inches wide and 24 inches high to have more space for the design.

The 2 panels are 2 parts out of 3 (the last one is to follow)planned for the decoration of my kitchen. 24*12 in and 20*12 in, one more 20*12 is yet to be done.

All the drawings for the projects were somehow made by myself, so if these could be useful for other projects - please, feel free to use.

Windchime

by Lori Ann Shumey
(Castlegar, BC)

This is my first wind chime. Was so much fun and I am using up a lot my of my scraps that I just hate to throw away. Its great when there is no pattern to follow. Like my instructor said... Its artistic license, you get to create anything you want to.

Blue Moons

Blue Moons

Blue Moons

This is a piece I made and framed in an antique ornate frame that was once a dresser mirror. I am always looking for interesting frames to use for my pieces, and this worked wonders. The piece is actually glazed in on both sides, so there is enough give that it shouldn't cause stress fractures, but snug enough so there is no rattling.

Surfer Joe

This is done in copper foil and once I finished it, a friend named Joe showed up after 15 years. He had been surfing in Hawaii. I named it after him.
