Signing the final work

by Susan
(Georgetown, KY, USA)

I have made several stained glass panels for family and friends and each of them want me to sign the piece. I bought a dremel tool but it did not cut the glass...I have tried etching cream and that did not work. I have used paint pens but they are not permanent....does anyone have a permanent way to sign the artwork?

Answer

You can use a carbide scribe. They are available at most stained glass suppliers.

writing on glass

I don't have a problem, I was just wondering, what can I use to write on glass. I'm making xmas ornaments and would like to put my granddaughters names on the ornaments.

Answer

You can use a paint pen to write on the glass. The best one I have found is the Zig Painty Pen. You can get them at any craft store like Michaels, AC Moore or Hobby Lobby.
