3 D CANDLE HOLDERS

fireman candle holder and hippo on a wave candle holder

This a project came by an accident I was wondering if you can do anything in 3 d to me flat prices are nice but I wanted to make something that POPS out at you so I drew my own pattern of a dolphin on a wave and cut it out and started to stack it and it POPPED OUT at me now I make anything 3d for my candle holder these take 3- 4 days to complete depending on the picture and the pieces you have. the base is ( if you can get it) 1/4 inch jelousy glass it usually comes in a long price, so you can get many projects out of one piece. You can always use a piece of mirror glass but it has to be thick. To attatch your design to the glass you can use copper wire the thicker the wire the better but not to thick this will hold your design to the base i cut (2) pieces (tin it) then i place them on an angle from your piece to the base and solder this is foil method and I am self taught and been working in stained glass for 3 yrs. And I love do stained glass I do oil painting and dabble a bit in photography I take pictures of animals I love taking pictures of eagles they are a beautiful bird and I know why they were picked to represent our nation.

What People
Are Saying

You can't imagine how much I wish I had found your incredible website before I spent many hundreds of dollars on lessons, dvd's, tutorials, etc. I can tell that everything I need to know can be found here. All I can say is "Thank You!" Larry

I can't thank you enough for this site. The new search feature is amazing and it makes it so easy to find exactly what I am looking for. Thank you again! Laurie

Your site is fantastic! I took a six week class four years ago and recently started again (after forgetting almost everything I learned!). I have to say that your site is excellent and I can't wait to practice the techniques you've shown. Scarlet

I'm a subscriber to your "Stained Glass Gems" and I just wanted to say THANK YOU for your wonderful site! This is by far the best glass site I've run across. I recently purchased your publication on Patina FAQ and it's very helpful for me... I like to have hard copies of info so I added it to my library. Suzanna
