Back lighting for stained glass piece

I have a 36" x 28" American flag with a 24" wingspan eagle laying on top.almost Red and blue are waterglass and the white is almost opaque.
I need suggestions on how to back light it.
I will be framing it with wood so mounting of lights will be easy.
I am thinking of using several LED lites or some kind of rope lite.
It will be hanging on a wall rather than in a window.
Any suggestions are welcome.
AnswerIt is extremely difficult to back light stained glass. You will have a hot spot/glare of light wherever there is a light bulb.
Flourescent lamps along the edges will work better than bulbs, but they will still not give a good all over light. You would need to build a box to install the panel in, deep enough to accomodate the flourescent lamps on all 4 edges of the panel.
