Brass or Gold Patina

Answer Hi Gary, The colors for patina are becoming more and more limited for some reason. You're pretty much limited to copper and black. Using gold foil won't work, since you'll be covering it with solder. You should be able to have the panel gold or brass plated, if there is a place near you that does it. I know many stained glass artisans that have their pieces plated. I just did a quick google search for brass plating and there appears to be many places that do it. Your other option would be to make the panel with brass came instead of foil. Perhaps someone reading this has other ideas and will add them to the comments section below. |
