Ceiling Tiles For Copper Foiling

by Sunny McClain
(Riverside, Calif)

Hi Sue,

What brand or kind of ceiling tiles are you using for copperfoil pieces.
Thanks,
Sunny

Answer

Hi Sunny,

Hmm...that's a good question. I have no idea what brand they are since I never buy them at a store. I get them at garage sales, in construction site trash, etc.

The one I use right now looks like it's made of compressed wood shavings or something similar. It's about 1/2 inch thick, white on one side and tan on the other side.

I'm sorry that I can't help you more, but that should give you something to go on.

They don't last forever, so don't spend a fortune on them. Once they begin to soak up flux (which takes a fair while), they start to break apart and become useless.
