Dishes
Hi Sue Its me again. This time I would like to know what you think of making little dishes that would be used possibly for holding food. I am wanting to make little candy dishes for Xmas centrepieces... and maybe for gifts. But I am concerned about the solder. Would love to hear from you before I take on the task. Thanx Sue LoriAnn Answer Don't put food in anything that has solder on it or in it. You could find clear plastic inserts to put in them before you fill them with goodies. However, you don't want people touching the outside of the dish (you know how people like to touch things, especially children) then picking up the candy and putting food in their mouths. My suggestion is to make something else that isn't going to be used for food. How about some Christmas candle shelters, or if you have a kiln, you can fuse dishes that are safe to use for food. |
