Geometry of Life

by Jan Neff-Sinclair
(Carlsbad, CA USA)

This is a copper foil piece surrounded by lead. I downloaded this incredible free pattern from glasscrafters where they called it a Geo Circle. I think they got it from a book called 20 Pieces...or Less!

I had taken two semesters of the only accredited community college Stained Glass I course when I made the first of these round pieces and it took a long time. The curved cuts were really hard. This photo is of my second effort, where I used some really special glass. Note the cool bubble and the Saint-Just glass in the center.

This piece was selected to hang in the art gallery on campus.

This circle piece is beautiful Jan. I really love the colors as well. I am a beginner with stained glass and am having so much fun with it.

Congrats on having your work hung on campus. It's always nice to have your hard work appreciated. The design is cool, but you have a good eye for color and texture. Keep it up.

What People
Are Saying

You can't imagine how much I wish I had found your incredible website before I spent many hundreds of dollars on lessons, dvd's, tutorials, etc. I can tell that everything I need to know can be found here. All I can say is "Thank You!" Larry

I can't thank you enough for this site. The new search feature is amazing and it makes it so easy to find exactly what I am looking for. Thank you again! Laurie

Your site is fantastic! I took a six week class four years ago and recently started again (after forgetting almost everything I learned!). I have to say that your site is excellent and I can't wait to practice the techniques you've shown. Scarlet

I'm a subscriber to your "Stained Glass Gems" and I just wanted to say THANK YOU for your wonderful site! This is by far the best glass site I've run across. I recently purchased your publication on Patina FAQ and it's very helpful for me... I like to have hard copies of info so I added it to my library. Suzanna
