glastar straight edge

Hello, has anybody successfully used the glastar straight edge? I cannot get it to keep rigid, it just moves in all directions so is useless for the job. Am I missing something? I have followed the instruction manual....

I have not used the straight edge so hopefully someone reading this that has used it can answer your question.

I use a narrow strip of the rubberized shelving material that is used in trailers and campers to keep the dishes in the cupboard. It keeps straight edges and triangles from slipping around when cutting.

I have not used it but try putting some masking tape on the back of it. That will give it some bite and keep it from slipping.
