Hanging Stained Glass Window Corners

Thanks cindy Hi Cindy, My experience with window corners is very limited, as I've only hung them once, in my livingroom. I framed them with small U zinc came on the top and the edge that went against the window frame. 3 hanging loops were soldered to the zinc, one on each end of the top and one at the bottom of the side edge. I put very small hooks in the (wooden) window frame, where the loops would attach. Once the glass was hung, I squeezed the end of the hooks closed and then painted the hooks black to match the patina. They hung very close to the window. I assume you could do the same with metal window frames by drilling a starter hole before you screw in the hooks. If anyone else has had experience hanging window corners, please tell us how you did it. |
