Large sidelight

I will be starting a large sidelight (20x80), and will be using the leading process. How do I go about reinforcing this? Should I use rebar? I have done many sidelights, transoms etc.., but not this large. I'm not so sure that the people I am doing this for would like the look of rebar. What do you think?
AnswerThis is a difficult question to answer without seeing the design. Are there many hinge joints? Will it be installed as a stand alone window or will it be inside the existing window glass?
Without knowing any of the above answers, here's a general synopsis of what can be done. Use a lot of copper restrip, making sure it goes from one edge of the panel to the other edge wherever you use it. Use reinforced lead where there are hinge joints. Lastly, if you feel that rebars are necessary, design the panel around them so they don't look out of place. Explain to the clients why rebars are necessary, and the fact that they won't get noticed by anyone other than themselves.
I hope some of this helps you.
