Leaving Solder Silver On Copper Foil Project
Susan Windsor Answer Use silver backed copper foil if your glass is cathedral glass (you can see through it). If you are using opalescent glass, copper back is fine. Make sure you wax and polish the piece well after you clean it. It may need an occasional polish with a spray of Pledge and a soft cloth, but other than that, it will look just fine. There are many stained glass artists that prefer the silver look.
