Patina on Chain
I have achieved a nice patina on my knitted chain necklace, but it has no shine, it's just charcoaly. I like the color but I want some shine. Of coarse I can't wax and polish since it's the chain, what can I do? Would dipping it in lighter fluid help or some other solution?
AnswerYou should be able to polish the chain. I would use a spray wax, like Pledge. Don't let the wax dry. Start polishing with a soft cloth, maybe a microfiber cloth, as soon as you spray it. Rub the cloth along the chain from one end to the other or hold the chain with the cloth wrapped around it, then pull the chain through the cloth.
