Slumping Glass For A Lampshade

by Janet Burkkholder

Slumped Lampshade

Slumped Lampshade

Hi,

I wrote, a while ago, asking for ideas for a lampshade. I decided to make my lampshade by slumping glass over a metal milkshake container I had. It actually fits the base, but I still have to drill an opening for the lightbulb and fire polish the edges.

I am waiting for some special bits for drilling the glass. If this works I will work on my mold by expanding the top more and using different colours of glass. Lots of fun.
