The Corning Museum Of Glass

by Sue

Corning, NY is a 2 1/2 hour drive from my home. The entire city is facinating, but my favotite place is the Corning Museum of Glass. I don't think I'll ever see everything there is to see or do at that amazing place...but, I keep trying. If you ever have a chance to go there, I'd highly recommend doing it.

You can make your own glass souvenirs while you're there. Here's a list of things you can make: Glass Souvenirs. I've watched the classes. People don't only make a souvenir, they
learn a glass working technique as well. I watched my grandson blow a glass flower. He had the time of his life and now, as a young man, wants to get into hot glass work.

Here is a web site with more than 40 short video segments on various glassworking techniques from the Corning Museum
of Glass. I'm sure you'll find something that will interest you.

Enjoy!
