Why is Glass Cracking

I have a problem with my glass peices once in a while they will crack. I have only started doing glass work. Can you tell me what or why, is going on?
Thank you so much for your help.

AnswerHi Ken,
The most common reason for glass to crack is due to spending too much time in one spot when you are soldering. If you have an area that needs to be worked on, leave it alone until it cools off, then go back and work on it a bit more, and so on, until it looks right. Add more flux each time you go back to it.
Another reason that cracking happens, is due to improper cutting techniques. If you are pushing too hard on your glass cutter (you see a white line along the score or small bits of glass fly up as you are scoring the glass), small fissures can occur along the score line and could eventually run when you start soldering.
