Windchime

This is my first wind chime. Was so much fun and I am using up a lot my of my scraps that I just hate to throw away. Its great when there is no pattern to follow. Like my instructor said... Its artistic license, you get to create anything you want to.

Hi... Sorry that I didn't get back to you on this.
First... I also make costume jewelry and so I have alot of jewelry findings that I incorporate into the stained glass projects. I used 6mm jumprings that I soldered into place. I have long needle nose pliers that I use to hold the tiny rings and then solder them. The long pieces of glass have one small piece of foil that wraps over the top and another small piece that wraps around. Flux and solder. Pretty easy and fun. So .. you put a jumpring on the base and one on the 'stick' and then you use one to join them together.
What I have found, is that if you plan to hang it outside, You must make sure that all the little jumprings are tinned. They will oxidize if they are not. If you plan on hanging it inside, then you don't have to tin. It is a pain to tin them all but worth it.
