Your Time Is Up

by Phil Brunger
(Worcester England)

This project was inspired by a 15th century etching by Urs Graf. It was done in Lead and measures 29" x 26". It shows the Grim Reaper siting in a tree pointing to an Hour glass.

I have been making Stained Glass windows as a hobby for more than 10 years, but mostly small projects. So when I came across this etching, I felt I just had to try and recreate it in lead and glass.

It did turn out to be a rather large project for me and a bit of a labour of love, as I started it over 4 years ago while living and working in the USA.

I moved back to England in 2006 and it stayed unfinished in storage until about two months ago, when I unpacked all my glass and equipment and re-energized my obsession with it.

Now it is complete and I am well and truely hooked again on Stained glass.
