brass coloured

I have made thousands of stained glass panels, for the industry for the past 30 years
If the panel is made with solid brass rather than lead then the soldiering joints are painted with a gold marker only on the joints.
Unfortunitly the marker becomes much darker than the brass caming in due time due to the rays of the sun.
Secondly if the panel is in a brite brass finish and the soldering joints are the same then that panel is electro plated in brass finish...where I live and get this done to some of my panels they have also other finishes such as copper, chrome, black chrome,patina..etc.
So my advice to you is to make your sidelites in lead, and then find a company that will plate for you........hope this helps and good luck
